Pavillon Saint Augustin: Seven Deadly Sins (2010-11-28)
Like in London, we had no knowledge of the hotel until a week before we left Tokyo. But unlike in London's Holiday Inn, our Paris one did not live up to its claims.I'm not so sure Pavillon Saint Augustin's negative points is limited
to seven, if I think harder, I'm certain I can come up with more.
But these are the top seven:
- Serious wear and tear.
- Refrigerator did not work. (couldn't chill drinks)
- Air conditioning did not work (it was warm during our visit).
- Mold and chipped tiles in the shower.
- Hairdryer hose is fixed with transparent tape (!) which makes it too hot to hold without wrapping it with a towel.
- Bathroom floor gets totally flooded after shower due to lack of a shower curtain.
- And the worst: Uneaten bread from previous diners gets recycled
to the next table at breakfast!!!!! (witnessed that on the second last
day)
KL also finds the reception staff rude but I thought they were
ok. They were just languid and slow. Besides, the one we
met on the day we checked out was super nice.
