Butterfly On Prat (2013-12-30)

Whenever we choose a hotel in Hong Kong, location is the primary consideration.  It HAS to be close to the station AND within easy reach of the shops and restaurants we like.  Butterfly On Prat fits the bill prefectly.  It's only three or four minutes from the station and most of the shops (such as Koi Kee, Yiu Fung and Cookies Quartet) I want to visit are nearby.

Three major malls (K11, The One, iSquare) are just a couple of minutes away and the Carnarvon Rd/Cameron Rd hub is great to browse.  There're numerous good restaurants on Prat Ave alone (including a 24-hr supermarket) and Chatham Rd South, food-wise, you are well and truly covered even if you don't want to venture far.

The hotel, although fairly new, does show some wear and tear (but not much); it's nice and clean in general.

It's a boutique hotel with a very small reception area but the rooms are pretty spacious in contrast.  There's no room service nor bath tubs which is just fine with us.  The staff were friendly and helpful.

The only drawback might be the slightly rowdy noises coming from the bar on the street on weekends.  We stayed on the 16th floor and being deep sleepers, such noise never stopped us from falling asleep.

KL asked me if I would consider staying there again next time, I definitely would.
